Merry Belated Christmas… here’s some stuff from next season…
Happy Birthday Stan Lee!!! // artwork by J.Scott Campbell (2012)
Stan “The Man” Lee is turning 90 today. The longtime writer, publisher, editor and cheerleader for Marvel Comics has lived long enough to see his creations leap from the printed page to the most diverse media, from movies to videogames. Stan has left us a legacy more than spectacular, full of vivid, rich and colorful characters. Thanks so much for everything Stan! Excelsior!

SW Vehicles: T-65 X-Wing Starfighter
The Incom T-65 X-wing starfighter was the primary all-purpose starfighter of the Rebel Alliance and its successor governments. Known for its versatility and exceptional combat performance, it was a favorite with Rebel and New Republic pilots. Possessing deflector shields, a hyperdrive, an R2 astromech for repairs and navigation, and a complement of proton torpedoes, the X-wing allowed the Rebellion to launch raids in Imperial space with improved odds of a successful mission. MINIMALISM by BRUNO ALVES (pt.1)
The minimalism movement in gaming art never ceases to amaze me. As someone who’s “artistically challenged,” I’m constantly impressed with an artist’s ability to encapsulate a whole gaming world in just a few shapes and colors.
My amazement continues with Bruno Alves’s minimalist gaming prints. When someone can take two colors and use them to clearly represent a world-building game like Minecraft, well, bravo! I’m not even a fan of the game but I instantly knew, yup, that’s Minecraft.
